The Shattered Sea
The Nurian Calendar is based on a 365-day solar year and is currently being reckoned by the founding of the Aubran ’Captain’s Table’ in Dragnia and the beginning of the Aegyptine dynasty 973 years ago. The months themselves are named for the captains who attended that event. Devout Aeridorns (and imperial records) follow the same calendar but reckon the year as 202 from the ascension of the Morning Lord.
There are 12 months per year, four festival weeks and one day set aside for death (although revered by worshippers of Kelemvor, this ‘holiday’ is more about loss and remembrance than honoring the god.
The moon Aslan has a 28-day cycle and has 13 cycles per year, Selune has an 121 day cycle and both remains dark during both nights of Hallowmass. The only other time they sync is during the height of the feast of Beltane.
